FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The Fort Wayne City Council approved two bills to allow the distribution of money from the light lease fund Tuesday evening.

The city gained access to nearly $80 million as a result of its light lease settlement with Indiana Michigan Power.

Plans call for some of that money to focus on areas like economic development, riverfront beautification, and youth sports.

The council also r eintroduced an ordinance Tuesday to begin the process of condemning Aqua Indiana's water utility in southwest Fort Wayne.
