Coliseum hosts Northern Indiana Golf Show

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The Allen County War Memorial Coliseum is hosting the Northern Indiana Golf Show on Saturday and Sunday.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Tickets for the show are $6. All Northern Indiana and Ohio Chevy Dealers are offering $2 discount coupons.

The event features representatives from top golf manufacturers with demos of their new products for the 2013 golf season. Golfers can test the new drivers and irons from Cleveland, Srixon, Mizuno, Callaway and Nike Golf on the show's indoor demo range.

Guests can also see presentations from the Fort Wayne area's top golf professionals including Rick Hemsoth, Director of Golf for Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation, and noted ladies instructor Suzanne Noblett. The professionals will also be giving out free three-minute lessons.

Organizers said the snow this week is actually helping the show's attendance.     

"The second day of the show last year actually had golfers that could go play instead of come to the show, so we got fortunate with the weather. Our traffic has been really strong and people are finding great buys and getting good tips on how to get their game off the right start in 2013," George Hays, the coordinator of the Northern Indiana Golf Show, said.
