FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The City of Fort Wayne announced that the southbound Clinton Street detour route will be closed from 8:45 p.m. to approximately 10:30 p.m. Monday night, during the lighting ceremony and unity walk across the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Bridge.

Eastbound detour vehicles that would normally turn right onto Spy Run will instead continue to Coliseum Boulevard to Washington Boulevard to Clinton Street downtown.

Fort Wayne police will assist in closing the detour route. Those with questions may call the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.

The MLK Memorial Bridge event will begin at 9 p.m. at the bridge on Clinton Street, between Fourth Street and Headwaters Park.
