FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Sunday is the last day to see a Civil Rights exhibit being featured at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art.
"Threads of a Story: Freedom Riders and Bus Boycotters" was inspired by the 2008 presidential election. It features paintings made by Brooklyn painter Charlotta Janssen, who was looking for a way to pay homage to the people who helped paved the way for the first African-American president of the United States.
At 2:00 p.m., people will sing some of the Freedom Songs that sustained the Freedom Riders during the movement in the 1960's.
The museum is open from noon until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday and admission is free.
