ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) – The Allen County Solid Waste Management District announced Thursday that residents have only one more day to drop off their live Christmas trees for recycling.
Trees will not be picked up with regular trash. All ornaments, tinsel and plastic bags must be removed. Wreaths will not be accepted.
The trees, which will be chipped into mulch, can be dropped off at any time through Friday, January 13, 2011 at the following locations:
Fort Wayne area
- Allen County Highway Garage – 2234 Carroll Road
- Foster Park West – Soccer field parking lot, west side
- Foellinger Theatre – Back parking lot southwest corner
- Shoaff Park – Conklin Pavillion
- McMillen Park – Pool parking lot
Monroeville area
- Monroeville compost site – 200 Utility Dr.
New Haven area
- Jury Park
- Meadowbrook school – Parking lot
- North side of City Hall – 815 Lincoln Highway East
Woodburn area
- Front Street under the Water Tower
Leo-Cedarville Area
- Across from Riverside Gardens Park – Corner of Grabill Road Schwartz Road
