Canterbury's soccer coach 1 of 6 to participate in All-American soccer game

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Canterbury High School's Greg Mauch was named one of six elite boy's high school soccer coaches who will participate in the Second Annual Choice Hotels International High School All-American Game on December 8.

The six coaches selected are coaches that have obtained many regional and national awards. They have combined for more than 1,600 career wins.

The game will be held in Birmingham, Alabama at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

The event is being sponsored by Choice Hotels International and in part by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, Adidas, and Soccer.com.

The list of coaches who were chosen include:

West All-American Coach

Mike Gauvain - Chaminade College Prep (St. Louis, MO)

Steve Lawrence - Marquette Jesuit High (Milwaukee, WI)

Matt Longo – Quincy Sr. High (Quincy, IL)

East All-American Coach

Greg Mauch - Canterbury School (Fort Wayne, IN)

Mike McLaughlin - St. Ignatius (Cleveland, OH)

Scott Reitnour - Wesleyan Christian Academy (High Point, NC.)
