FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A portion of Engle Road is scheduled to be closed to all traffic starting at noon Tuesday and is expected to continue through noon Wednesday.

According to the City of Fort Wayne’ s Traffic Engineering Department, the emergency closure affects the Norfolk-Southern tracks east of Ardmore Avenue, between Ardmore Avenue and Bluffton Road.

The closure will allow railroad crews to repair a broken rail in the crossing on Engle Road.

The department said a detour will be established that will use Ardmore Avenue, Lower Huntington and Bluffton Roads.
