FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Berry Street was scheduled to be closed to all traffic between Clinton Street and the entrance into Citizen Square on Berry Street Wednesday, and that closure was extended through Thursday after complication.

Officials said the closure would last until Thursday at 6:00 p.m.

The closure was scheduled to allow the contractor, Pyramid Construction, to make water service taps to the Anthony Wayne Building.

Authorities said motorists were encouraged to use Barr Street, Main Street and Clinton Street as alternate routes.

Access to the Citizen Square parking lot will be available from Berry Street, Barr Street and Clinton Street.

The contractor will be responsible for placement and maintenance of all warning signs and barricades.

For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.
