WATERLOO, Ind. (WANE)--People around Waterloo have set up a benefit auction for a Deputy Stephen Brady. While on duty, Brady was shot in the face the morning of December 15. At last check, the 13-year veteran of the department was still listed in serious condition .
There will be a live auction, silent auction, live band, the comedy and magic of Jim McGee, and more. All proceeds will go toward Brady and his wife Janet, who is a deputy sergeant at the Waterloo Marshal’s Office.
The benefit will be held at the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Butler on February 4, 2012 beginning at 2:00 p.m. The building is located on:

According to Waterloo Town Marshal, Jay Oberholtzer, Brady has been receiving treatment for facial damage and several jaw fractures at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Originally listed in critical condition, Oberholtzer reported Brady to be downgraded to serious early Friday. By Friday afternoon, officers in the police department said Brady remained in serious but stable condition.
