BBB warns about U.S. Airlines postcard

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)  Some people are receiving postcards from U.S. Airlines telling them that they can redeem a certificate for two round-trip airline tickets in exchange for an enclosed voucher. All they have to do is call the phone number on the letter and reference the voucher number. The Better Business Bureau is warning that there's a lot more to it than that.

According to the BBB, a person must agree to watch a sales presentation for Island Trader Travel Club. That company is selling is a lifetime membership to a travel club at a price of $10,000. The voucher can be used in exchange for the tickets, but they are not free. A $50 fee must be paid, although the contract does state that this money will be refunded. The contract also states Millennium Travel so there is some confusion as to the true identity of this company. Millennium Travel does have an F rating with the BBB. Click on this link for more details.

The BBB urges extreme caution in dealing with any company that does not provide full disclosure on its identity, products, and/or services.
