FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Fire crews were called to a house fire at 736 W. State Boulevard around 2:40 p.m. Saturday.
Firefighters said they arrived to find smoke coming out of the home's attic vents. Crews had to pull the ceilings down in order to extinguish the fire.
Fire crews said the fire damage was contained to the attic and the fire was under control in 13 minutes. The rest of the home had minor smoke and water damage, according to officials.
Officials said one adult was inside of the home at the time of the fire, but the person got out safely. Firefighters said nobody was injured in the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
