Area skating ponds closed

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The skating ponds at Lakeside, East Swinney, Franke, and Reservoir Parks are closed to ice skaters for the weekend of January 4, 5, and 6 due to thin ice.

Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation Department have red lights and flags at the ponds to show skaters when conditions are not safe.

People can ice skate at Headwaters Park during public skating hours.
