Anthis Career Center fruit sale benefits students

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The Anthis Career Center fruit sale begins on Thursday at the Anthis Automotive Center on the corner of Lafayette and Lewis streets.

Fruit will be sold at the following times:

  • Thursday - 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Friday - 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Saturday - 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The fruit comes from California, Texas, Washington, and Spain and is available in the following packages:

  • Clementines (5 lbs.) - $8  
  • Texas Red Rio Grapefruit (20) - $18  
  • Texas Red Rio Grapefruit (40) - $27 
  • Sunkist Navel Oranges (30) - $17 
  • Sunkist Navel Oranges (44) - $22 
  • Sunkist Navel Oranges (88) - $33 
  • Red Delicious Apples (50) - $24
  • Gold Delicious Apples (50) - $24
  • Gala Apples (50) - $24 
  • Assorted fruit in a box: Small (11 lbs.) - $22  and Large (22 lbs.) - $34

Proceeds from the fruit sale will support career education programs, including the costs to participate in regional, state and national career skills competitions, take field trips and bring in guest speakers.
