FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The West Central Neighborhood celebrated its Annual Home and Garden tour this weekend.
The tour highlights historic homes and buildings from the 19th and early 20th centuries. It includes 11 different stops at homes, businesses and a church. The goal is to promote the historic preservation and neighborhood revitalization. This year they wanted to expand and pull in more people from the surrounding areas.
"It gives us a chance to talk about this wonderful neighborhood and show people that it can still be a viable opportunity to live in the heart of the city. We are so close to downtown and there's so many things going on," President of the West Central Neighborhood Association Charlotte Weybright said.
There was also an art fest where people enjoyed music and food. The organizers hope this event gives people a new vision of an urban core neighborhood.
