Kendallville, Ind (WANE) - A Kendallville American Legion Post had a motorcycle ride Saturday, October 6 to help keep its doors open. Post 86 has recently hit some hard times.
The ride was intended to bring attention to the issue. The post has almost three hundred veterans who go there to see people they call family.
"This kind of hits home, because it's where living veterans go that just want to kick back and have a good time. It would be a sad shame to see it go away," said Brent Warfield, who is on the executive board of Post 86.
The riders ended up at Post 86. There they hosted a fundraiser and offered free chair massages. Anyone who missed the event and wants to help can send donations directly to the post.
