FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) After 14 years on the bench, Allen Superior Court Magistrate Marcia Linsky submitted her resignation on Tuesday.
Court Executive Jerry Noble said he could not talk about Linsky's resignation.
A defense attorney, who asked to remain anonymous, suggested to the News Sentinel that "highly inappropriate" conduct on the part of Linsky was a factor in her leaving; the attorney said Linsky would spend berating attorneys in court.
Magistrates have authority similar to that of judges but they are appointed and therefore not subject to retention by the public.
