FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Three adults and two children were evacuated Saturday after a two story duplex fire at 1060 Delaware Avenue, south of East State boulevard.
Firefighters said they arrived at the scene at around 11:55 p.m. to find heavy smoke coming from the attic area of the duplex.
According to officials, a woman two children were downstairs at the time of the fire and evacuated themselves. Firefighters then had to wake up two other adults who were upstairs and evacuate them.
The fire was under control in about 15 minutes and firefighters said there were no injuries.
Officials said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
