FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The History Center is now displaying Philo T Farnsworth items that it acquired from the recent closing of the Farnsworth exhibit at National Military History Center in Auburn.
A large advertising banner from 1940 hangs above the exhibit and reads, “Farnsworth Radio…from the home of television.” The home of television in 1940 was considered to be Fort Wayne.
The Farnsworth exhibit had been on display in Auburn for five years until the museum closed the exhibit and put all the items up for auction in June.
Further information about the history of Farnsworth in Fort Wayne can be found at the History Center’s blog .
