FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Emergency crews responded to a house fire at 9308 Sail Wind Drive near the intersection of Timberlake Trail in the Shorewood addition in Aboite Township around 2:15 p.m. Monday.

According to Stacey Fleming of the Fort Wayne Fire Department, a passerby saw the fire and phoned it in.

Firefighters said the fire started in an attached garage and spread to the second floor.

Because of the high winds and the potential for the fire spreading to other homes, additional rigs were called to the scene.  In all, seven fire trucks responded to the fire.

Crews had the fire under control in about thirty minutes.  No one was home and there were no injuries reported.

According to a NewsChannel 15 photographer on the scene, there was a car in the driveway that also had fire damage. There was another car in the garage.

Investigators have not yet determined a cause.
