FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) The Hacienda Ladies Bowling league honored Helen Schmidt on her 95th birthday on Tuesday.

Helen has bowled for years and friends said still has a 110 average. Helena and the ladies in the bowling league, past and present, were served coffee and cake on Tuesday morning at Georgetown Bowling Lanes.

Helen's actual birthday was on Monday, but she was happy to celebrate again on Tuesday.

"I just have fun. I'm not quite a bowler anymore, but I enjoy it. I just enjoy life I guess. I've had good health and I'm having a good time," said Helen.

Helen had another great surprise for her birthday - she now shares a birthday with her new great granddaughter who was born on Monday.
