FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - A 350 mile bike ride beginning on Thursday is raising money for Camp Red Cedar which supports kids with special needs.
The Ride for Red Cedar began at the Steel Dynamics Inc. headquarters in Fort Wayne Thursday morning and end will end 350 miles later at the SDI plant in Jeffersonville.
This year is the 10th anniversary for the "SDI Tour de Plants: Ride for Red Cedar." 20 cyclists from Steel Dynamics will be participating in the ride.
The bike ride has raised $150,000 in the past ten years for Camp Red Cedar in Fort Wayne.
Camp Red Cedar features therapeutic horseback riding, swimming, canoeing, and arts and crafts for kids. Children with or without disabilities are welcome at the camp.
