FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Workers at Home Instead Senior Care and other volunteers wrapped hundreds of gifts Saturday afternoon. The gifts were collected through the 'Be a Santa to a Senior' program.

The program helps seniors in need who may not have family or friends around to celebrate the holiday season with.

"Not all seniors are lucky enough to have family and people around during the holidays. It's very important to us to focus on the elderly in our community who have given so much and make sure that they're remembered," Jim Sullivan, President of Home Instead Senior Care , said.

The gifts will be delivered in person to 300 seniors.

For more information, check out the ' Be a Santa to a Senior' web site.
