SOUTH WHITLEY, Ind. (WANE) - NewsChannel 15's Heather Herron talks with parents Chris and Molly Mengerink for the series "Saving America: 28 Ideas in 28 Days."
The Mengerinks live in South Whitley. They both work full time and are busy raising two young daughters. Chris and Molly say they face lots of challenges as parents and have high hopes for the future.
They're particularly concerned about financial stability and the cost of higher education and aren't convinced that lawmakers in Washington can do what it takes to turns things around.
Our special reports continue Thursday when Mark Mellinger sits down with Steel Dynamics CEO Keith Busse.
