FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - In Sunday’s edition of NewsChannel 15’s “Saving America: 28 Ideas in 28 Days” series, Weekend Evening Anchor Alyssa Ivanson sat down with President and CEO of Parkview Health Mike Packnett.

Packnett's been with Parkview Health since 2006. With 7,500 employees, Parkview Health is the largest employer in northeast Indiana.

Prior to Parkview, Packnett spent 15 years in several roles in Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri with the Sisters of Mercy Health System.

Packnett sees creating 21st century talent with post-high school education and training as the key to turning northeast Indiana's economy around. He talked about how a group called Vision 2020 is already working to do that.

On Monday, NewsChannel 15's Pat Hoffmann will talk with Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry. That interview will air Monday on First News starting at 5 a.m.
