FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - As NewsChannel 15 continues its series "Saving America: 28 Ideas in 28 Days", Terra Brantley talks with Fort Wayne Community Schools teacher of the year Carolyn Bookmyer about creating jobs for America's future.

Bookmyer teaches at Shawnee Middle School and specializes in teaching non-English speaking students.

She would like to see more manufacturing opportunties come back to the U.S. She also thinks America needs to focus on creating more high tech jobs.

She believes that could be facilitated by colleges working more closely with high schools to direct students on course loads that will help prepare them for real work experiences.

Our series continues Saturday on Nightcast at 11. Sports Director Glenn Marini will talk with Michael Franke the owner of the Komets.
