2 dead in crash with semi-truck

WABASH COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - Two people are dead after police said they failed to stop at an intersection in Wabash County and ran into the path of semi-truck on State Road 15 in Wabash County Saturday morning.

Around 6:30 a.m., Wabash County Police said a man driving east bound failed to stop at the County Road 1400 and State Road 15 intersection and crashed into a south bound semi-truck.

The driver of the semi, Herbert Ringel, 70, of Wabash, was not injured in the accident, but the passenger in the car, Josie Heckaman, 19, of Silver Lake and the unidentified driver, both died.
