FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) -- Around one hundred cars sped through the Memorial Coliseum 's parking lot Sunday for an autocross race hosted by the Fort Wayne Region Sports Car Club of America .
Some drivers used stock cars and others brought their personal vehicles, but everyone took turns to race the course for the fastest time.
"It's something fun to do with your car to test the limits on your car, and you can learn great driving skills so if something happens on the road you can react to it safely," said Steve Mieritz, Regional Executive Director of the Fort Wayne Region Sports Car Club of America.
The car club plans to host another event in a few weeks.
