FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - City street department crews will work Saturday to progress work on the large volume of leaves that fell in the past two weeks. Crews are still working in the northern part of the City and will work Saturday in an effort to catch-up.
Crews will use next week as a catch up week and will likely enter the central part of the city by Tuesday.
Remember, leaves should be raked to the park strip area or placed in brown biodegradeable yard waste bags and set at the curb for collection. Please refrain from placing leaves in ditch lines or between parked cars. This will slow down the pick up process for the crews.
For daily updates of crew locations please check cityoffortwayne.org/leaves2009
We will update the media before we move into the central part of
the City.
