KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) Two runaways were found on Monday in Wisconsin. They had traveled through six states in the seven days they had been reported as runaways.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department in Wisconsin, located two 14-year-old male runaways early Monday morning after police had tracked (“pinged”) their cell phone.

Both boys were last seen on outside their North Webster homes on Monday, Sept. 17. They were both reported as runaways the next day.

On Saturday, family members received information that allowed Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputies to “ping” a cell phone that the runaways had in their possession.

The phone was initially located west of Nashville, Tennessee. Movements and locations were sporadic and deputies eventually came together at a gas station in Alma Center, Wisconsin, where they were able to get a constant tracking location from the cell phone.

According to the KCSD, the two boys had taken a family 2006 Buick Terraza van from North Webster and ditched it in Missouri. They then traveled through Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois and then into Wisconsin. The vehicle they used after the one they ditched has yet to be located.
