INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Preliminary police reports identify a teacher and her husband as the two people who died in an Indianapolis house explosion and fire.

Indianapolis Metro police say the bodies of 36-year-old Jennifer Longworth and 34-year-old John Dion Longworth were found in the basement of their home after it was destroyed by fire Saturday night.

A vigil was held Sunday night for Jennifer Longworth at the Greenwood elementary school where she taught second grade.

John Dion Longworth was the director of product development and technology for consumer electronics company Indy Audio Labs. Company chief executive and co-founder Rick Santiago issued a statement saying the company is saddened by the loss of the couple.

Coroners have not yet released the identifications of the two people who died in the explosion and fire.
