ALBION, Ind. (WANE) According to KPC news, Whiteshire Hamroc, a swine genetics company in Albion, is teaming up with Tangrenshen, an integrated pork and feed company located in Hunan Province in China.
The two companies will build an international research and development farm in northeast Indiana that they say will bring 100 short term jobs and 25 long term jobs.
CEO of Whiteshire Hamroc, Michael Lemmon, says the facility will be the first international swine research and development farm for both countries.
Local vendors, veterinarians, businesses and contractors will have the chance to provide goods and services to this joint project.
