INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Republican gubernatorial candidate Mike Pence is ready to say how he would run the state if elected in November.
Pence plans to lay out his ideas to state Republicans at their annual convention Saturday morning. He then plans to spend the summer going into more detail.
Pence has been largely quiet on details and specific proposals until now. He has previously said he would like to cut the state personal and corporate income taxes along with the sales tax. He has also floated the idea of a jobs cabinet that would report economic development ideas back to the governor.
Democrat John Gregg has released two detailed proposals calling for an end to the sales tax on gasoline and a reworking of the corporate income tax to benefit Indiana-based businesses.
