INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WANE) - The Indiana Department of Natural Resources announced there will be no quail hunting allowed at Goose Pond Fish and Wildlife Area on Saturday, December 29, due to the large amount of snowfall.

The DNR said they cancel hunting when it may cause stress to the quail population in a certain area.

All quail hunts at Goose Pond are by drawing only.
