ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) -- Prosecutors have filed murder charges against a central Indiana man accused of shooting his ex-girlfriend's daughter days after she ended the relationship.
Madison County court documents filed Monday say 53-year-old Roy Parmley of Lapel broke into his ex-girlfriend's home when the two women weren't there. Authorities say that when the women arrived, Parmley forced his ex-girlfriend to use duct tape and tie her daughter in a chair in the kitchen.
Police say Parmley then bound his ex-girlfriend to a chair and told her she was going to take away something she loved, then shot 31-year-old Amanda Wiles in the head with a shotgun.
Police have been searching for Parmley since Saturday. Madison County Sheriff Ron Richardson tells The Herald Bulletin that Parmley is considered armed and dangerous.
