NEW ALBANY, Ind. (AP) -- Indiana Senate candidates Democrat Joe Donnelly and Republican Richard Mourdock are meeting for their final debate before Election Day.
Libertarian nominee Andrew Horning will join them Tuesday night at Indiana University-Southeast in New Albany for the debate being broadcast by several TV and radio stations.
Mourdock and Donnelly stuck mostly to their talking points in their first debate last week and scored no knockout punches. The race has garnered a flood of spending as one of handful of races determining which party controls the Senate.
Both candidates have struggled to win over Sen. Richard Lugar's supporters, who are viewed as critical swing voters.
The Indiana Debate Commission considered shutting out a public audience after union auto workers grabbed roughly 300 of the 500 available tickets, but the debate remains open.
