FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Meijer announced a $160 investment that is expected to bring more than 500 jobs to Indiana.
The expansion plans involve building six new supercenters, five remodel projects, and more than 1,500 jobs in Michigan, Illinois and Indiana.
Each new supercenter store is expected to have at least 250 full or part-time jobs available.

The remodeling projects will involve interior and exterior renovations such as lighting, heating, refrigeration, exterior lighting and parking lot maintenance. There will also be new technology used in several areas that should result in reduced energy usage and more energy-efficient stores.
