LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) – Hundreds of people in LaGrange County experienced a power outage for several hours Sunday, but no information has been released on what caused it.
Just after noon, the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department reported that crews from NIPSCO and REMC were working to resolve the problem.
The online NIPSO outage map at one time reported there were 640 customers affected. As of 2:30 p.m., that number was down to one and the sheriff's department said there had not been any more reports of outages in the area, though no official word has been rest by NIPSO or REMC reporting the wide-spread outage had been resolved.
