INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Indiana health officials say Indiana now has 52 confirmed flu deaths. That's an increase of five since last week.
The Indiana State Department of Health also announced Monday that two counties have had five or more deaths: Marion County including Indianapolis has had six deaths and Allen County including Fort Wayne has had five deaths.
The agency says the five new deaths include one person under 18, one over 65 and three between the ages of 25 and 64.
It says many of those who have died had underlying medical conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, asthma and renal disease.
