INDIANAPOLIS (WANE) - An Indianapolis teenager is behind bars today after leading police on a high-speed chase.
Police say it all happened near the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Early this morning, police clocked the teen going 72 miles an hour in a 35 miles per hour zone.
The chase lasted about 15 minutes, reaching speeds up to 80 miles an hour.
The 16-year-old eventually jumped from his car and tried to run before officers caught up with him.
Officials say the teen was driving without a license, and they found drugs in his car.
