Ind. Marine killed in Afghanistan

WASHINGTON D.C. (WANE) -- The Department of Defense announced Monday a Marine from Norman, Ind. was killed in Afghanistan while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

According to the DOD, Lance Cpl. Hunter D. Hogan, 21, of Norman, Ind., died June 23 while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.
