HUNTINGTON, Ind. (WANE) Isolatek announced plans to spend about $8 million to improve their facility on Thursday.
The two-phase investment plan will involve replacing their current Foundry Coke furnace technology with coke-free technology. Foundry Coke is a refined coal product. Isolatake is planning on improved energy efficiency and lower emissions as as a result of the project.
Isolatek plans on keeping all current employees and may add four permanent manufacturing positions.
The Isolatek plant produces spray-applied fireproofing materials that are used in commercial and industrial construction.
