INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Gov. Mitch Daniels is set to appear as a guest of fake conservative talk show host Stephen Colbert on the "Colbert Report" Thursday night.

The Times of Munster reported Monday the Republican governor is expected to promote the paperback edition of his 2011 book, "Keeping the Republic," during the Comedy Central program.

Daniels defended the book during a confrontational September 2011 interview with left-leaning comedian Jon Stewart on another Comedy Central program, "The Daily Show."
