WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) -- Indiana State Excise Police say officers arrested 67 people on 77 charges during the weekend, including two people taken to hospitals because they were so drunk they couldn't stand without help.

Excise police said a 19-year-old woman from Fort Wayne with a blood-alcohol content of .22 percent and a 20-year-old man from Columbus were taken to hospitals because they were so drunk officers feared for their safety.

Police said those two were among 38 minors charged with for illegal possession or consumption of alcohol. Excise officers say they arrested 12 people on charges of furnishing or providing alcohol to minors. Two minors were also charged with possession of false identification. Officers also cited 25 people for a variety of other offenses.
