INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers are donating to the American Red Cross for people affected by Saturday night’s explosion on the south side.

Colts cheerleaders, mascot Blue and punter Pat McAfee will also be on hand Monday night for what Colts owner Jim Irsay is calling drive-by donations. The donations are being accepted at O’Charleys on South Emerson Avenue from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday. All donations will go to the Red Cross.

The teams have teamed up to donate $20,000 to the Red Cross and is encouraging fans to donate, as well.

“Colts fans are Pacers fans and Pacers fans are Colts fans,” Irsay said in a news release. “Both Herb and I share a deep love of our community and we thought it was appropriate and the right thing to do.”

“I have great respect for Jim and consider him a great friend,” said Pacers owner Herb Simon. “When we see our fellow citizens in need, we need to step up.”

The Red Cross is accepting donations online. Just visit their website.
