ANDERSON, Ind. (WANE/WISH) - The company that owns Hoosier Park racetrack and casino in Anderson is filing for bankruptcy.
Jim Brown, the general manager of Hoosier Park, said Centaur Gaming can't afford to make interest payments on its loans anymore.
The gaming company owes hundreds of millions of dollars to dozens of lenders.
Brown said company's working with those lenders during the bankruptcy to come up with a plan on how to pay some of that debt off.
Centaur Gaming hopes to come out of bankruptcy by July. In the meantime, the racetrack and casino should continue to operate as normal.
