FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Honor Flight Northeast Indiana raised money at the Fort Wayne Sam's Club Sunday.

The program flies World War II veterans to Washington D.C. to see the World War II memorial. The group's third trip will take about 25 veterans to D.C. in June.

Escorts also go on the day-long trips to help the veterans if they need it. They pay their own way, and all the money Honor Flight raises pays for the veterans' entire trips.

Honor Flight will be at the Sam's Club again next weekend and will hold other fundraisers throughout the summer to be able to fly more veterans to D.C. later this year.
