HICKSVILLE, Ohio (WANE) - An 85-year-old woman is recovering after a car jacking in Hicksville, Ohio.

It happened Tuesday afternoon in front of First Place Bank on Main St.

Police say a woman in her 20s followed the 85-year-old woman into the bank, waited for her to finish her transaction, then followed her out and jumped in her car.

The suspect told the woman she had a knife, and told her to drive to an undisclosed location.  But instead, the victim drove to a nearby municipal building and stopped.

The victim received minor injuries while escaping.

The suspect got away with the car.  She is described as a white female in her 20s.  She's about 5'4" tall with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police say she was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and long dark blue shorts.

The vehicle taken was a 1995 maroon Oldsmobile Intrigue, four-door.
