FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The Fort Wayne Fire Department is hosting a Halloween Open House Sunday at Station 14 on Reed Road, the home of the new Quint 14 fire apparatus.
FWFD officials are invited the public to visit the station beginning at 1:00 p.m. to kick off Halloween festivities and offered station tours, including an introduction to the brand new Quint 14 fire apparatus truck. Safety Village will also be on hand to help wrap-up Fire Safety Month.
The family event will be from 1:00 p.m until 3:00 p.m. at Station 14, 3400 Reed Road and will also include hot dogs, chips and candy for those who join.
All Fort Wayne Fire Department stations will be open and available for Trick or Treating from 5:00 p.m until 7:00 p.m. as well.
The department does ask that you use caution when approaching the stations and stay clear of the fire trucks as they may need to leave on an emergency response rapidly.
