ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - The woman now known as one of Charlie Sheen’s former “goddesses” has pleaded guilty in an Allen County court to a misdemeanor charge relating to driving while intoxicated.
Rachel Oberlin, 24, also known as “Bree Olson” in the adult film industry pleaded guilty Tuesday to Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated, a Class C misdemeanor.
Fort Wayne police arrested Oberlin in February after she crashed her Lexus on West Jefferson near Swinney Park. Her car had taken out a light pole.
The Woodburn native’s lawyer, Randy Fisher, said he spent weeks preparing a trial and negotiating with prosecuting attorneys. After which, he said the two sides came to an agreement. By pleading guilty, Oberlin will spend a year on unsupervised probation.
“The prosecuting attorney’s office should be commended on this case for not treating Ms. Oberlin too harshly because of the media coverage, but treating her as if she was any other defendant facing a first misdemeanor charge,” Fisher said.
Of the recent months of attention, Oberlin said she has received plenty of support from family and friends in the Fort Wayne area.
“It’s great to be home. I love Fort Wayne, Indiana and this will always be home to me,” she said. “I am an Indiana girl regardless of what I do when I’m out of town.”
Oberlin and her connection with actor Charlie Sheen shot back into the spotlight recently when it was rumored that she broke up with the “ Two and a Half Men ” star.
Oberlin admitted Tuesday that her relationship with Sheen has ended.
“We still talk and everything,” Oberlin said. “I wish him nothing but the best. I don’t have anything bad to say about him."
When asked if she believed Sheen had a drug problem, Oberlin stated she did not.
The adult movie industry star spoke of her future, expressing an interest in mainstream film work.
“I’d like to do it on my own. I’d like to move to L.A. and start taking classes and basically start from the bottom up just like any other person would do,” Oberlin said.
Oberlin will receive her official sentence following Tuesday’s plea during a hearing scheduled for May 3.
