FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Plans to start another charter school in Fort Wayne have been withdrawn. Sun Academy withdrew its application to the Indiana Charter School Board on Monday.
The school was going to be bilingual, teaching both English and Spanish. A leader hadn't been chosen and there's no word on why Sun Academy withdrew the application.
Two other charter schools, Thurgood Marshall Leadership Academy and Smith Academy for Excellence, are both still set to open in Fort Wayne this fall.
